Some days, you kinda wish you'd stood in bed.

Got up way to early. Went the long way around on the way to school because the radio said the short way was closed due to someone creaming a pedestrian. By the time we got to the place, via the long way, that way suppose to be closed, the whole thing was cleared up. Knowing Atlanta traffic radio, it was probably cleared up by the time we heard the announcement. Feh. Feh I say.

I made a truly miserable showing in German class today. I swear the more I try to memorize, the less I can remember. Also, adjectives. Not my friend.

Got to work. Fought with LDAP for an hour so I could figure out how to install it on the boss man's computer. Figured it out. Use a comma instead of a period in the settings help desk gave you. This was my fault. I shouldn't try to talk to help desk while I'm trying to talk to the reference librarian and administrative secretary and what ever else I was doing at the time. Went in to boss man's office.

Guess what he already had installed.

On the plus side, at least I've got LDAP working. I even had fun looking up my professors. Wee.

Spent a good amount of time updating the citation style guides with the most current versions of MLA and APA styles. Noticed an error on the MLA guide. There was much rushing to call the print shop to cancel our order because the new MLA guide had an error on it and we were about to print up a couple thousand of the things. This lead to the discovery of errors on the APA guide as well. There was a second rush to call the print shop to stop them from printing those.

Did some more work on the big project I'm currently involved in. That ate up most of the rest of my day.

Co-worker I don't know very well was leaving today. They decided to throw a farewell party. I was actually thankful when one of my co-workers asked me to see if I could figure out why her PDA wasn't talking to her PC. I don't know now-ex co-worker well enough to attend his farewell party.

Waited around after work for my ride to show up. Discovered a technical issue with one of the scripts I'm using on the website. Basically, if I use a certain protocal to post the calendar files, the calendar script can't read them due to a privilage conflict. I was very annoyed.

Went out for Chinese food. I'm not a huge fan, but SWMBO likes it. Unfortunately, ordering a couple of dozen spring rolls is not only expensive, but a fast way to a heart attack. I settled for the Sesame tofu. I'm sure it has a lot of nutritional value. Unfortunately, as with all chinese food, I was hungry again by the time I got home.

Bought cat food, rabbit food, cat toys and rabbit toys.

Came home.

Excitedly watched new Angel. The one where Cordelia returns. This was a mistake. The last two minutes of the episode were a mistake. Anyone who's seen the episode knows why. Allow me to say this though. You just don't do that to your veiwers. Not if you want them to keep watching. Color me ticked off.

And there you have a day in the life of a writer. Glamorous, ain't it?
