I love me some GUI. The command line is all scary and stuff. And yes, OS X is the host, and Ubuntu is the Guest. And VMWare Fusion Rocks my world. My only regret is that I may someday have to sully it and install XP.

Seriously, the primary OS should run the VMWare. In your case, that's MacOS X. In mine, that's linux.
