Munchkins Munchkins everywhere!

Mike, my best friend, was in town last week. He was passing through on his way to his new place in Orlando. Saturday night, he, Gary and I got together and I was introduced to a card game called Munchkin.

Munckin consists of six actual games. Munchkin, Star Munchkin, Munchkin Fu, Supermunchkin, and Munchkin Bites and Munckin Blender. Each is a card game that parodies one of the big RPG genres. Munchkin the classic dungeon crawl, Munchkin Fu the martial arts games, Supermuchkin is superheroes and Munckin Bites is a poke at White Wolf's World of Darkness. Blender is designed to allow you to mix the other sets and play against more powerful monsters. Since the idea is that you're a Munchkin player, there are cards that let you gain levels by whining at the GM, rules lawyering and other such things. Also, cheating is not only allowed, it's encouraged.

This game is friggin hilarious. I haven't had that much fun gaming since the night I was running a starwars game and Mike fumbled 30+ rolls.
