Well, Eric Flint and Baen books must be doing something right. The Grantville Gazette just became what I think is the first fanzine to not online be edited by the creator of the setting, but to have contributions from the creator of the setting, and be a SFWA pro market.

First, I just got a very nice review for "The Girl With The Killer Eyes" over at Tangent Online.

Second, I just got a request for a full on Meredith MacKenzie and the Uruk Empire from the agent who requested a partial a while back.

One agent. Two requests for more material. I think this is a good sign.

I'm probably going to throw up a post about the AGENT SEARCH OF DOOM!!! after this, but first, I wanted to mention I've started work on Novel #3. Working Title, and likely the final title, is We're Here To Help. It's a continuation of "The Girl With The Killer Eyes" and so far, I'm feeling pretty good about it. Of course, I'm only about an eighth of the way through. I'm making progess, but it's slow. Stupid school.

I wonder if the National Endowment for the Arts still gives out grants to authors.
