Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance...

Actually, it's the time in the story when I finally start to let the reader in on what's going on. I mean, I've blown up a bunch of stuff, and hopefully gotten the reader hooked, so now I have to supply actual plot. I've got the plot down in my head, but I've got to infodump. Now, I, personnaly enjoy a good infodump. I get fascinated by details. Most readers don't, and I'm afraid the bit I'm working on will come out a bit dry. Bleh!

WOOHOO!!!

Finished the chapter five rewrite. Made some small changed to four as well. I think it works much better, but we'll see what my critics think.

I on the other hand, am going to celebrate my birthday by trying not to die. This is easier said than done, cause I'm pretty sure I've got bronchitus again.

Writing Sucks!

Okay, not really, but it's been suggested that I punch up the battle in chapter five. Back to the salt mines.

More novel stuff.

Okay, I feel a bit better about chapter four. I rewrote most of the second and third scenes. I'm still not entirely happy with scene three, but I suspect that's more because I always find it a little hard to introduce characters, especially important ones. I think I'm going to hold off on any more revisions until after I get done with at least a few more significant scenes with that particular character. Maybe that way I'll have a bit more of a feel for her.

More novel stuff.

I just finished Chapter Five. While this should be a good, I've got decidedly mixed feelings. I'm worried that there's to much exposition going on in and around the battle, and there's a scene in Chapter Four that I've written something like twelve different times that just never seems to come out the way I want it.

*sigh*

I know I can write. I know I'm actually pretty good. For some reason though, I just feel like I can't get with the program when it comes to this novel.

WOOHOO!!!

Okay, so, I think I've managed to fix a lot of the problems with the opening of the book. It involved getting rid of half the prologue and rewritting the first three chapters, and I still have two more chapters that pretty much have to be completely rewritten, plus I need to finish the big battle that is not in chapter six, but I am making progress!

Oh, by the way, blowing up north Georgia isn't as easy as it sounds. Physics sucks!
